REMBAU, 23 Mei -- Kamaruzaman Budin ketika berada di ladang kambing Katjang miliknya ketika ditemui Bernama baru-baru ini. Dia baru saja membeli lima ekor kambing itu daripada penternak lain yang mendakwa haiwan tersebut ialah baka Katjang tulen, atau dipanggil Kacang oleh penduduk setempat, dan merupakan satu-satunya kambing baka asal Malaysia. Bagaimanapun Kamal mendapati dua daripada kambing tersebut menunjukkan ciri-ciri hibrid, sementara yang lain pula mungkin baka tulen. Namun itu hanya akan diketahui secara pasti selepas melalui ujian DNA oleh saintis Institut Penyelidikan dan Kemajuan Pertanian Malaysia (MARDI) yang kini sedang mencari dan membeli kambing Katjang dari seluruh Malaysia.
