Concerns over foreign digital content on streaming platforms containing LGBTQ and other deviant elements have raised alarms about their potential impact on children and adolescents, particularly those still in the process of forming their personal identity.

They were sworn in as senators on Dec 3, 2022, in line with the formation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s cabinet after the 15th General Election.

Aliakbar won the Karambunai seat with 7,054 votes in an 11-cornered contest in last Saturday’s election, which also saw the incumbent from Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Yakub Khan, defending the seat.
