"The problem of corruption in our country can be said to be at a serious level and because of that, we will give full support to this campaign to achieve the main goal of fighting corruption,” he said.

Rasuah Busters campaign in Perak also received support from youth leaders such as the State Youth Council (MBN), the Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC) and the Peninsular Malay Students Federation (GPMS).

MIYC Perak chairman A. Arven said the Rasuah Busters campaign was the best platform for youths to play their part in mobilising awareness from the ground especially the young generation.

He believed that if all parties played their part, the country’s image in regards to corruption would be restored.

"Everything needs to start from the grassroots and as a part of youth leaders, I welcome the campaign in Perak.

"MIYC is ready to give its full commitment to the campaign’s mobilisation,” he said.

GPMS Perak committee member Mohamad Harith Haikal Mohd Rosli shared the same view that youths’ influence in social media could be used to mobilise the anti-corruption campaign.

"What we can offer is in terms of volunteer services and dissemination of anti-corruption campaign materials on social media,” he said.

Meanwhile, Norhaati said the #RasuahBusters convoy focused on strengthening the cooperation between the affiliates in Perak and the stakeholders.

The move, she said, was to expand awareness of developing #NilaiMoralKarakterBangsa in particular, in line with the issues and culture of the Perak local community.

"Integrity agenda and prevention in corrupt activities should be prioritised in all aspects of governance in every community and state for a Malaysia that is clean of corruption and abuse of power,” she said.

The #RasuahBusters convoy in Perak started today until Tuesday. It was the second state visited after Johor, in the mission to tour the nation this year.
