Nation records 3,300 Covid-19 cases, nine fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 3,300 new Covid-19 cases including two imported cases in the last 24 hours.

Out of the number, the Health Ministry's data revealed that over 1,512 in hospitals were hospitalised.

Meanwhile, 51 patients were still in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 28 patients out of the number required ventilator support.

The nation also recorded another nine deaths due to Covid-19 including three brought-in-dead (BID) cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 43,551 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there were 46,316 active cases with 44,732 (96.6 per cent) undergoing home quarantine.

Klang Valley and Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections with 2,587 and 1,351 respectively in the last seven days.

The country recorded 4,654,951 Covid-19 cases in total since the pandemic began.
