A Malaysian celebrity loved by many, Sean Lee, made headlines recently when he landed a role to voice a character in a special edit of the animated film "DC League of Super-Pets” by Warner Bros.

The star-studded cast, features Dwayne Johnson as Krypto the Super-Dog and John Krasinski as Superman as they team up to fight crime in Metropolis. When Superman and the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must assemble a team to save his best friends and the other superheroes before it's too late.

Lee voiced "Waffles”, a Boston terrier living in Metropolis. The actor who is a native of Subang Jaya, envisioned Waffles to be a brutally honest dog from Subang Jaya who moved all the way to Metropolis.

He described that Waffles’ character is not so different from his own personality. Lee occassionally spoke in a Malaysian slang for his character, but not excessively.

"As much as we wanted to add a local flavor, I tried not to overdo the slang or accents."

"Because Waffles is an existing character, there are guidelines that I need to follow and I cannot stray too far from the existing character itself.” he told Sinar Daily.

Despite the fact that this is Lee's first debut into the realm of film voice acting, he did not look into or study any other voice actors, instead he concentrated on the script prepared for him. Along with hosting, acting, Lee also had prior experience with dubbing commercials, which led to sharpen his talent in this new line of creativity.

Asked what other plans he has in the near future, Lee said he is planning to direct his own telemovie next year and calls for anyone who is interested in joining the cast.

"I am currently searching for anyone who wants to enhance their acting skills by joining the cast of my telemovie. Feel free to get in touch with me directly through my Instagram's direct messaging."
