PUTRAJAYA - Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin has dismissed a claim alleging that he will contest for the Putrajaya parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Talk of Radzi's purported electoral ambition made rounds against the backdrop of his supposedly frequent appearances at various functions that were held there.

Instead Radzi -- who lost to Umno's Tan Sri Annuar Musa in the Ketereh parliamentary seat in GE14 -- explained that his presence at the functions was simply due to him being invited and the fact that most of it were organised by his ministry.

"There are so many (Ministry of Education (MOE) programmes) in Putrajaya and we need to find a location near MOE to facilitate movements," he told reporters after launching MOE’s Digital Educational Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELIMA): Our Digital Agenda here today.
