“Pas believes in wasatiyah by being in the middle of the dispute that could undo the saving of the PN government," says Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

SHAH ALAM – Not one to call it quits just yet, Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is still adamant in wanting to mend the torn seams of his tumultuous allies in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

Citing the Islamist party’s ‘wasatiyah’ (moderation) stand, Hadi announced that Pas will be the middleman in settling the seemingly unending dispute between Umno and Pribumi Bersatu.

"Pas believes in wasatiyah by being in the middle of the dispute that could undo the saving of the PN government.

"This bickering needs to be stopped as it would only make both parties fail and lose strength,” said Haid in a statement issued amid intense talk of a parliamentary dissolution to pave the way for the 15th General Election (GE15).

The Marang MP also pointed out that Pas and Umno had already forged the Muafakat Nasional cooperation front following GE14 adding that later on, the two parties agreed to include Pribumi Bersatu in it.

Today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong with reports saying that he would propose for the date of said dissolution.

While Ismail at press time has yet to announce anything about the matter, Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa hinted that it will be business as usual.

"I can’t say anything because I don’t know but, the Cabinet has received a notice for a meeting tomorrow. Work still goes on for us. The parliament has yet to be dissolved,” Annuar told Sinar Harian.
