KUALA LUMPUR - Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa confirms that a Cabinet Meeting led by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will be held tomorrow.

"I can't answer (dissolving Parliament) because I don't know. I am a member of the Cabinet, there is a notice (meeting) for tomorrow. Meetings usually take place on Wednesdays, since Parliament is in session, they are held on Fridays.

"Us ministers will attend the meeting as usual, work will continue. There is a meeting, Parliament will not be dissolved tomorrow (Friday).

"The result of today's decision will be brought up (in the meeting) because it needs the approval of the cabinet, so the issue (of dissolving Parliament) will not arise," he said at a press conference after the meeting of the Special Task Force on Jihad Against Inflation in Parliament on Thursday.

In the meantime, Annuar explained that if Parliament is dissolved in the near future, the government will certainly run under the leadership of the caretaker Prime Minister who will be appointed until the 15th General Election (GE15) takes place.

"The power of the Agong to dissolve (Parliament) is based on the recommendations from the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. That (dissolution of Parliament) is outside the scope of the Jihad Committee, whether it is dissolved or not, we will continue to work," he said.

Rumours of the dissolution of Parliament were rife following Ismail Sabri's audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara, this afternoon.
