SHAH ALAM – The political movement of PKR, Otai Reformis needs more members to join the movement to keep the ‘Reformasi’ spirit strong.

Otai Reformis secretary Abdul Razak Ismail said of late, the youth participation had subsided and was low as the group could not find any youth to join the movement.

This led the group to be similar to non-governmental organisation and it was not an active party.

"Some don’t have positions in the party, I think that causes the youth to think twice about joining us,” he said in an interview with Sinar Daily.

However, Razak said the spirit of ‘Reformasi’ stood firm among PKR members as the policy was simple.

"If we feel something is not right even though the state is run by PKR leaders, we will call it out.

"We don’t lean towards them,” he said.

He further stated that some of Reformasi’s members have passed away, but the Reformasi spirit was assured to be still going strong.

When asked about the state of support of PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Reformasi, Abdul Razak said the group could not find any other leaders to replace Anwar.

"So far, we don’t have any leaders to replace him, perhaps after a few more elections and after PKR Deputy President Rafizi Ramli is accepted by all parties,”
