SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his confidence over the coalition's preparations to face the 15th General Election (GE15) after parliament was dissolved today.

Anwar who is also PKR president said he accepted the decision of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who gave his consent to dissolve the Dewan Rakyat which was in-line with the Federal Constitution.

"PH is ready to face GE15. We have prepared to face those who have rigged the mandate during the last general election.

"We are also ready to make possible a sustainable, prosperous future as well as a government that is truly concerned and has compassion for the fate and welfare of the people.

"The new Malaysia under PH will definitely put more emphasis on these aspects and will do its best to restore the confidence of the people," he said in a statement on Monday.

Anwar, however, in the same statement also questioned the intentions of certain interested parties who are seen to be so reckless in wanting GE15 to be held despite the challenges of the people, including the risk of flooding and the increase in the cost of living.

He said, the Cabinet have lost and succumbed to the political pressure which focused on power and money.

Therefore, Anwar called on the public to vote in the GE15 to determine the best future for the country.

"Are you worried about the price of goods? Jobs? Monsoon and floods? Do you want better education?

"You want a reasonable system and access to health? Therefore we must vote!" he said.
