Tok Mat and Khairy locked in intense discussion after the Umno Rembau Division Representative meeting
SEREMBAN - Former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin will be given a suitable seat to contest in the 15th General Election (GE15), said Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan today.

Mohamad or commonly known as Tok Mat said Khairy is a young and caliber leader.

"Alhamdulillah, that's the family spirit in Rembau.

Tok Mat said this when asked to comment on Khairy's closing speech on not knowing if he will be contesting in elections.

In a different development, the BN deputy chairman said the areas where BN narrowly lost in GE14 need to be given more focus by the leadership of the coalition's component parties in GE15.

"The defeat was caused by several reasons and most of them were local issues. It needs to be resolved immediately so that we don't repeat the same mistakes of GE14," he said.

Tok Mat also insisted that BN needs to win 112 parliamentary seats to have a simple majority to establish a government.

However, he said the seat distribution in the BN component parties - MCA, MIC and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) will meet soon to finalise the issue.

"We have to pass 112 seats for us to form a government in the next election. That is our target, if we can win a lot, even better," he said.

He further said the Voting District Centre (PDM) needs to update the study of voters' attitudes in their respective branches which will always change according to the development of current issues.
