SHAH ALAM - Sheraton Move was needed to ensure the country’s political landscape was moving in the right direction, says Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) election campaign manager Hizwan Ahmad.

He said the move was needed as the country was facing difficulties in providing services to the people.

"The Sheraton Move was something that was needed to ensure the country was moving towards the right direction.

"We were facing difficulties in giving public the service they needed and something had to be done at that time,” he told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank episode.

Asked on the party’s status in working with Barisan Nasional (BN), he said it was not an easy decision to make as the party has been deliberating on the issue for a while now.

PBM has also met with internal and external consultants to see which coalition party is better to work with.

"We worked together with internal and external consultants to actually try to look for the best solution and eventually ended up with deciding to go with BN.

"So far, everything is going according to plan and we will probably tweak here and there to make sure that we will be able to cater to the current political situation,” he said.

As for the strategy to go into the 15th General Election (GE15), Hizwan said it is important to work together with the coalition as their strategy in going solo during Johor state election was a flop.

"We have tried during the Johor state election going solo but I think we faced quite an uphill battle during the state election but for this coming election, I think it is only wise to work together with the coalition,” he said.
