KUALA SELANGOR - DAP's Hannah Yeoh has slammed former Bersatu minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun, stating she should not be contesting after failing to protect the country.

Yoeh expressed her dissapointment as to how the former woman, family and community development was elected more than one term eventhough she did not perform well.

"It is saddening that Rina Harun was elected for three times (under three prime ministers) eventhough she did not do much for the women and children.

"If failed to serve more than two times, then I think its time for us to stop allowing her to govern the country,” she claimed at Muda campaign in Tanjong Karang tonight.

Yeoh urged Sepang residents and Malaysians not choose Rina again and to give wat to Muda's Siti Rahayu Baharin who will make the best candidate.

"You all (Malaysians) have the right to make sure that Rina Harun is not elected again.

"This is not a personal attack. If it is about children's issue, then I believe whole nation will speak and fight for it.

"That’s why we are rooting for Cikgu Rahayu to bring more changes in term of woman, children and education in the country,” she reasoned.

The education activist Siti Rahayu commonly known as Cikgu Rahayu will be contesting in Tanjong Karang.

The youth-centric party has teamed up with the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition for this general election.

Umno veteran Tan Sri Omar who held the Tanjong Karang seat for the past six terms is not contesting this time.

Cikgu Rahayu will be facing BN's Habibah, Lando Brotherhood (Pejuang), Mohd Rosni (Independent) and Capt (R) Datuk Dr Zulkafperi (PN) .
