SHAH ALAM - Sungai Buloh Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Khairy Jamaluddin claims he is not a friend of the coalition's court cluster.
" We (BN) have old guards in the coalition. I’m not a friend of the court cluster. I don’t mind saying all of this. I want my party and the coalition to reform," he stressed. He went on to say that BN is not a bad coalition, but they do have bad leaders ‘up there’.
" I love my party. (Umno) I want my party to be accepted by the people. We need to clean up so you have a clear choice in the future," he said after a local resident questioned the coalition and Umno's involvement in multiple corruption cases.
Khairy stressed that there are other BN members who would also like to see positive changes be made within the coalition.
However, some of them have a fear speaking up.
"You will be surprised to see the number of people that want change.
"The rest of them are scared to say anything, so I said never mind; let me announce that I want to be Prime Minister. We want to get rid of the old," Khairy said.
