HULU TERENGGANU - Terengganu state government will consider a special holiday after the 15th General Election (GE15) voting day.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the decision will be announced after a discussion at the State Government Meeting, this Wednesday.

"We will consider an event holiday, but I am not assuring that there will be a holiday. We will see what is the best course of action because there were several holidays taken as event holidays already this year.

"Anything will be discussed further in the meeting (State Government Meeting)," he said after the Santai Petang programme with the residents of Kampung Langgar here, on Saturday.

Also present was Hulu Terengganu Parliamentary Pas candidate, Datuk Rosol Wahid.

Samsuri further added that each state has different holiday practices.

"States have different (holidays) and because voting is on Saturday, there is a holiday on Friday for people to go back to voting. Friday in Terengganu is indeed a holiday, so let's see how the discussion will pan out.”
