SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Bangi candidate Syahredzan Johan says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the right fit to become the next prime minister after the polls.

The DAP central executive committee member said Anwar has gone through hardship but is still moving forward in the political scene to make Malaysia free from corruption and a better nation.

"He is someone who has gone through hardships and prison, we (also) have seen how people criticised him and called him all sorts of names such as Chinese, CIA, Jews agents, but he kept going forward and fighting because he wants to see a free from corruption Malaysia,” he said on Sinar Daily’s Politically Frank.

He said that Anwar could have just given up but he decided to still fight as he believed that Malaysia still has a chance to be better.

"To me, there is no doubt that he is the best person to lead the country,” he added.

Asked why it is important for the people to go out and vote, he said the future lies with the people.

He said the once in five years' opportunity to determine the future of the country should not be wasted despite the people losing faith in politicalicians.

"If you don't vote then other people will decide the future for you.

"You have the opportunity once every five years to determine what the country is like.

"I know there's a lot of disappointment, and a lot of people think that both sides are the same but let me tell you this, it is not all the same. There is a choice, there is always a difference,” he said.

He further added that the differences might not be big, but there are still differences that can help change the political landscape of the country.

He said the differences revolve around a good government that cares for the people or a bad government that is made up of kleptocrats and traitors.

"So, it is your decision and please make your voices heard on Nov 19,” he said.
