PETALING JAYA - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Petaling Jaya candidate Lee Chean Chung said overseas voters are running a marathon to deliver their ballots to Malaysia.

Lee praised their efforts in managing the movement overseas and ensuring the timely arrival of postal ballots in Malaysia.

"I really salute our great Malaysians. They are having a very patriotic mindset, ” he said during a walkabout session at SS6 Kelana Jaya.

Lee also urged Malaysians to come out to vote and support change in order to avoid a recurrence of the last 60 years and to move forward.

Lee also outlined his goals for a sustainable and livable Petaling Jaya.

"I advocate for a sustainable Petaling Jaya because the community here faces the issue of over development and at the same time we are getting less space for public spaces, leisure and recreation areas to improve our living quality,” he said.

Lee explained that he intends to focus more on infrastructure construction and maintenance for public use. "We don't want to build parks and then abandon them, we don't want to have less playgrounds for our children, we don't want to have more and more cars on the road.

"We need better public transportation access and routes to the hospitals, to schools, to the place that we’d like to go so that we can have a more liveable PJ."

Lee also urged Petaling Jaya residents to vote and fulfill their responsibility to reform, educate, and enhance education, as well as improve public infrastructure and public transit.
