GE15: AG among earliest to cast vote

PUTRAJAYA - Attorney-General (AG) Tan Sri Idrus Harun is among the earliest voters who arrived at the Sekolah Rendah Agama Al-Najah, Precinct 9, polling centre, here, on Saturday.

He arrived at 7.30am and lined up with the public before being allowed to vote at 8.03am and finished at 8.15am.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Datuk Mohd Radzi Md Jidin was also present at the polling centre.

He arrived with his wife at 8.20am and greeted the people there before he went in to cast his vote.

"Looking at the gloomy weather, slight drizzle, I expect the voter turnout today to be high and hope for voters to seize this opportunity to come out and vote," he said

BN candidate Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor arrived at 9.05am at Sekolah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Precinct 9(1).

When approached by voters, Tengku Adnan said Putrajaya would achieve the targeted voter turnout.

"Usually it was 90 per cent, I hope the target could be achieved today," he said.

A total of 42,881 voters were registered in Putrajaya that covered 12,578 people aged 30 and under and 3,571 of them were eligible to vote for the first time in the 15th General Election (GE15).

A total of 11 schools were turned into the polling centres with 68 stations.
