GE15: Still silent at PKR's headquarters

PETALING JAYA - The headquarters of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) here seems deserted without a glimpse of any Pakatan Harapan (PH) or PKR supreme council member.

As of 3.30pm, the atmosphere in the compound of the office building also seemed empty as of 3.30pm.

Earlier, PH Communications Director Fahmi Fadzil told Sinar Harian that he had yet to receive any information.

"I haven't received the information yet," he said when contacted through the WhatsApp application on Sunday.

However, it was learned that the PKR leaders might have gathered at a hotel in Subang.

After the end of 15th General Election (GE15) on Saturday, today's focus was to negotiate to establish cooperation between coalitions and parties to form a government following a hung Parliament.

GE15 results saw PH win 82 parliamentary seats including five DAP seats and one from the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda).

Meanwhile, the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition won 73 Parliaments including 22 seats from Pas.

In addition, Barisan Nasional (BN) managed to win a total of 30 Parliament seats, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) won 22 seats, Parti Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) (six), Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) (three) and Independent candidates (two).

Previously, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ordered leaders of the party with the largest majority to present the coalition and Prime Minister candidate to the Istana Negara before 2pm on Monday.
