50% discount on traffic summonses - Selangor police

SHAH ALAM - Selangor police is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent for summonses involving traffic offences at all traffic summonses payment counters in the state.

The Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) in a statement said those who were interested could make the payment from 8am to 4pm on Dec 20 and Dec 21.

"However, the reduction would not be given for summonses related to accidents, non-compoundable offences, those with Op Selamat status, court cases, heavy vehicles, dangerously overtaking other vehicles, queue cutting, using emergency lanes, traffic light violation, overtaking at double lines and modifications of vehicle's exhaust.

"The 50 per cent discount is only for selected summons,” the statement said.

It was understood that online transactions were not provided for the offer and those interested could come to the traffic counters throughout Selangor.
