Malaysia requests Saudi Arabia to inform pilgrimage cost in advance

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia requested Saudi Arabia to inform pilgrimage cost in advance to ensure a smooth Hajj management.

On a working visit to Saudi Arabia, Tabung Haji (TH) led by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Haj and Umrah, Dr Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah to discuss matters pertaining this year's pilgrimage.

The update was shared by TH on its Facebook today.

The Facebook post read; "Among the topics discussed were the original number of Malaysian Hajj pilgrims quota which was reduced due to Covid-19."

Apart from that, the post also mentions about the Makkah Route initiative which aims to receive the pilgrims and complete their procedures from their countries with ease. Malaysia was its pioneer since 2017.

The Malaysian delegation expressed its deepest appreciation to the Saudi Arabian government for the good services and facilities provided to the foreign pilgrims.

Dr Tawfiq, on the other hand,commended TH for the best, systematic handling of the Hajj and the exemplary level of service to the pilgrims.
