SHAH ALAM - Former Tanjong Karang MP, Tan Sri Noh Omar claims there was an element of sabotage from an Umno's insider which caused his meeting with supporters at the Tanjong Karang Farmer Management Institute on Sunday to be postponed.

He said that the meeting was held to celebrate friends who have helped a lot in the constituency and not just with Umno.

"I just want to see my friends and I want to say thank you for the support given to me all this time, I have to remember kindness especially from the Tanjong Karang people, that's why I want to have a meeting yesterday (Sunday).

"However it seems there is sabotage from Umno members who called certain people. I know the person who contacted the LPP (Board of Farmers Association) and instructed them not to allow the meeting to be held.

"In fact, it is not a political meeting. I am not a representative of the people, not a member of Umno or any party. I just wanted to meet the people," he said at the Sinar Live programme entitled 'Sacked by Umno: Fight or Move On? conducted by host Hazwan Mokhtar and broadcasted live on all Sinar Harian social media platforms.

On Sunday, the media reported that Noh was scheduled to hold a meeting at the Tan Sri Noh Omar Hall, a hall named after him located at the Tanjong Karang Farmer Management Institute.

However, when his supporters arrived at the hall, they were surprised to see a delay notice on the gate and were informed that the hall could not be used.

Meanwhile, Noh sarcastically said that the action was made perhaps because some parties felt aggrieved.

"They should be happy and clap their hands especially for those who want to be the head of the division. They should have a thanksgiving party because I've been fired.

"Why must they be afraid of me meeting the Tanjong Karang people to thank them? That was also prevented. I feel upset because there are still groups that are afraid of shadows," he explained.
