Politically Frank : Umno purge may have an impact on Selangor polls, Noh says

SHAH ALAM - Despite speculation of joining Perikatan Nasional to woo votes in the coming Selangor elections, sacked Umno veteran Noh Omar says "I will wait and see".

The former Selangor Umno chief said he "just wants to rest and see what happens next," he told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank.

The former Tanjung Karang MP further said he accepts the decisions to sack him from the party but disagrees with mno supreme council for not following the Umno constitution.

"My dispute is over the procedures, that’s all. If the supreme council members follow the procedures, I may have accepted the decision."

He cautionined Umno over its "purge", stating the move will have an impact on the coming Selangor elections.

Noh when asked over speculation of sabotaging GE15 candidate Datuk Seri Habibah Yusof by closing all BN operations in Tanjong Karang, he said: "Why do they rely on Tanjung Karang? BN did not win any seats in Selangor. So, is there any sabotage?."

Noh, however distanced himself from answering on Umno's future as he was no longer in Umno. He further said that rakyat should be given the space to decide whether party president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi was the right person to lead Umno.

Noh was among eleven members sacked from the party for several offences, including contesting as independent candidate and helping opposition candidates in the polls.
