Perikatan Nasional unveils shadow cabinet list

The shadow Cabinet list Muhyiddin announced.
KUALA LUMPUR - Perikatan Nasional (PN) has unveiled the coalition's shadow Cabinet list on Thursday.

The cabinet list was launched by PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin after the coalition's member of parliament (MP) retreat at a hotel here on Thursday.

The list also sees the former prime minister acting as the chief of PN MPs while Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang named as the deputy.

PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainuddin remains as the opposition leader in Parliament.

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan is the shadow home minister, while Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s vice-president Radzi Md Jidin is the shadow finance and economic minister.

Kubang Kerian MP Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man remained leading the Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Ministry as in the previous administration.

Beluran MP and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) vice president Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee also remained as Agriculture and Food Industry Minister now rebranded as the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry.

Pas vice president Datuk Idris Ahmad remained in the portfolio of Religious Affairs Minister.

PN listed 26 ministries and the shadow Cabinet members.

Further, former foreign minister Saifuddin Abdullah named as the shadow education and higher education minister, and Arau MP Shahidan Kassim as the shadow rural and regional development minister.
