SUBANG JAYA - The police revealed a man's brutal act of murdering his lover's husband and burying the remains on a hillside behind an elderly care centre here last May.

Subang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the police received a report from the public on Thursday about an Indian national confessing to killing a man from his motherland before burying him.

He said the confession was made in the Ampang Jaya area before the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Department (CID) detained the suspect for further investigation.

"Interrogation later found the 25-year-old victim was killed on a hillside behind a bungalow used as a nursing centre for the elderly.

"The victim was believed to have been slit on the neck, which was fatal," he said in a statement on Saturday.

The investigation found a plastic package believed to have been used to wrap the victim's body.

Following the discovery, the police then also arrested an Indian woman from India, who was the victim's wife and the suspect's lover, as well as two other local women and an Indonesian woman, aged between 25 and 35 years old, working at the nursing centre.

"It was believed that the motive for murder was because the victim found out about his wife's affair with the suspect."

"So far, the murder weapon (a knife) has not been found, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," he said.

He also said anyone who has information related to crime in the district can directly contact the Subang Jaya District Control Center at 03-78627100 for further action.
