KUALA SELANGOR - Umno is expected to lose in several strongholds in the state election based on the 15th General Election (GE15) results, says former Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar.

"Certain strongholds had lost (in GE15) such as Tanjong Karang, Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam.

"The three Malay majority areas were dominated by Perikatan Nasional (PN),” he said during a press conference after the Jasamu Dikenang Ceremony at a hotel in Pasir Penambang, here, today.

Noh said there are slim chances for Umno to seize victory in Selangor if they were relying on non-Malay voters.

"Maybe at the time (GE15), voters were still supporting Umno but now those supporters see that they are building relations with DAP,” he said.

Noh said voters who met him said they would not choose Umno if they continued cooperation with DAP.

"I met with those who admitted they voted for BN in GE15 but they have refused to vote if they knew Umno sided with DAP,” he added.

When asked about his preparations for an appeal Noh said the decision of his sacking was made by the Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"Who would I appeal to? (If the sacking was due to the Umno discipline board) I would appeal to the Supreme Council.

"If the president is there would he accept my appeal?," he said.
