PETALING JAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has assured that his daughter Nurul Izzah would not abuse her position as his senior adviser on economics and finance.

He further said she is not being paid for her work.

"There is no chance of her using that position to amass wealth and influence decisions on tenders, contracts or projects,” he told reporters during a press conference at the PKR headquarters here, today.

"Yes, I need her expertise to assist me but let me emphasise that she is there to protect and pursue the agenda of (good) governance and incorruptibility.”

He further said that he takes a strong position against those who have criticised, particularly those who awarded millions of ringgit of contracts to their son, son-in-law or cronies when they were in power.
