Pas mobilises aid to Turkiye.
SHAH ALAM - Islamic party Pas will start mobilising humanitarian efforts to Turkiye, following an earthquake disaster that hit the country today.

Pas Central International Affairs Chairman Dr Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi said PasRelief will act as a disaster relief coordination centre to receive all forms of donations and assistance.

"Pas is preparing to mobilise humanitarian aid coordinated (by) Pas Relief following the earthquake that hit Turkiye.

"Together we will hand our donations and aid for the earthquake victims in Turkiye,” he said on his Facebook post.

Pas relief is the party's humanitarian affair and relief centre.

Over 1,500 have been reported dead and thousand others have been reported injured after a strong earthquake hit Turkiye and Syria.

The Turkiye Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (Afad) said the 7.4 Richter scale earthquake occured at 4.17am (1.17am GMT) local time and was centred in the Pazarcik district, Kahramanmaras province.

The earthquake was reported to felt till Lebanon.
