Strict action will be taken to those threatening public order, IGP warns

KUALA LUMPUR - The police is closely monitoring the current national security situation and will take strict action against any party that makes any statements that touches on religious and racial sensitivities.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the current situation is under control.

He said the police is committed to ensure that the laws are continuously implemented to ensure the safety of the nation and its citizens.

"The police will take strict action without compromise towards those who threaten the nation’s public order.

"The public is advised not to release or share statements that could affect racial harmony and raise public outrage,” he said in a statement on Friday.

He added any parties that have further information regarding cases such as these could report it to any nearby police station for further action.
