"As soon as my wife contacted me, I went straight home, but about five tree trunks fell on the main road from Jalan Sutera to Desariang 10/5, making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

"I decided to walk home to see how my wife was doing," he said when contacted by Sinar.

"While waiting for the rescue team to arrive, we residents did the cleaning work from 10.30 pm until late in the morning," he said.

Another resident, Norzela Yaakub, 60, said that even though the thunderstorm and heavy rain was less than 30 minutes, the situation was enough to worry her as she was at home with her husband at the time of the incident.

"There was a noise and a short circuit until I didn't realise that the parking lot of the house had been hit by a tree."

"Some residents said they saw a tornado that caused many trees to fall, but I am not sure because I was inside the house," he said.

Norzela admitted that he was traumatised by the incident as it was his first but thankful as no residents were involved in the incident.
