Michelle Yeoh meets Anwar

SHAH ALAM - Oscar winner Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today.

On a Facebook post, the premier shared that the Oscar winner reminisced about her struggles in the early days of her career and her winning the academy award.

"Michelle said her success in winning the Oscar award is meaningful to her, her family, and the people of Malaysia as a whole.

"Her achievement has successfully lifted the name of the country on the international stage," Anwar added.

The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to Michelle for her continued success.

Michelle won the Best Actress award at the 95th Academy Awards (Oscars 2023) for her performance in the comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once.
