SHAH ALAM - Amanah Deputy Preisdent Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa said the motive behind alleged political kamikaze movement carried out by certain inidviduals to overthrow the unity government is not to defend their dignity but instead to seek personal gain.

He warned that such a move would have a negative impact on political stability and the country as a whole.

Mujahid said that the kamikaze movement is more about showing one's honour and dignity but when it involves politics, it can damage the country's political stability.

He said the issue is similar to similar to what happened during the Sheraton Move and the MPs involved will not leave unless were given certain rewards.

Mujahid also said that some parties might try to tarnish the name of the unity government by spreading rumors, especially with the upcoming state elections.

Kamikaze political movement is said to be aimed at toppling the unity government through a psychological warfare strategy to see the reaction of the public, especially the Malay community, ahead of the upcoming state elections in six states.

Therefore, he urged the public to examine the issue first before believing it entirely.

On the other hand, DAP's Deputy Secretary-General Teresa Kok, dismissed the rumors as a waste of time, stating that the welfare of the people should be the priority.

She said that the focus should be on serving the people and not entertaining rumours.

She said if MPs want to resign, they are free to do so, "but Barisan Nasional (BN) has denied this issue, and we accept it."
