Tajuddin was suspended in Oct last year and was not chosen to defend his Pasir Salak seat in GE15. In June last year, Tajuddin was sacked from the Malay party's supreme council. He was also dropped as Malaysia's ambassador to Indonesia in July

"Several appeals were given and yesterday (Saturday) one more appeal letter was written. As the election director and a Supreme Council member it was not wrong as the issues spoken were of the party’s interest.

"Maybe Datuk Seri (Zahid) was offended by those statements. I apologise once again. I want to resolve this issue in a good manner as I love Umno,” he said.
