SHAH ALAM - The people in Selangor support the Coldplay concert not because they support the 'rainbow' movement but because of the music and songs sung by these international artists.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shaari said the people in Selangor who are mature and metropolitan understand the culture of the people in the country.

"I agree with the views of some leaders, especially KJ (Khairy Jamaluddin), on this matter.

"For those who are interested in Coldplay, maybe just enjoy the beat and the music together," he said in a video uploaded on Kami Keadilan's Twitter account on Monday.

Amirudin reassured that civil and shariah law in the state do not accept lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT).

"To the organisers, please advise Coldplay and other artists who may have that kind of element, not to not show it off during their concerts in Malaysia," he said.
