"I wish to thank EcoCeres for choosing Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang, Johor, as its first investment destination in the production of biofuel in Malaysia,” he said in a Facebook post today.

According to him, the company is set to produce SAF and hydro-treated vegetable oil (HVO).

"The state government always supports efforts to produce sustainable oil and fuels derived from plants or biodiesel, such as HVO and SAF, which will increase investor confidence in Johor’s green and sustainability agenda.

"Hopefully, all that has been planned will bear fruit, thus helping Johor to realise its target of becoming a developed state by 2030,” he added.
