ALOR SETAR - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is prepared to be investigated by the police and will provide all the documents needed relating to his statement on Kedah owning Penang to the police.

He said investigating the issue is a normal matter.

"Investigations in this world are normal, investigations in the afterlife are far worse," he said briefly when met at Wisma Darul Aman here on Wednesday.

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director-general said such when asked to comment regarding the investigations which will be conducted by the police on his statement claiming Kedah owns Penang.

Sanusi said that the police will be recording his statement today ( Wednesday) at the Chief Minister's Office, in Wisma Darul Aman.

"Bukit Aman (police) have come to see me, that's normal, they do their job, I do mine, it's fair," he said.

He said he could not reveal the exact time the statement recording would take place, as he needed to preside over an exco meeting.

"I don't know what time the police want to come by, I must attend the exco meeting first, maybe after that my statement would be recorded," he said.

Sanusi was seen entering Wisma Darul Aman area on his official vehicle at 10.58am and was scheduled to chair the exco meeting in the morning.

He jokingly said he carried the related documents in his briefcase.

"Investigations in this world is normal, what I can reveal I will reveal it. The documents are in a bag with me. I'll photocopy it to give everyone a copy. What a funny world we live in," he explained.

Police Secretary Datuk Noorsiah Saaduddin on Tuesday informed that the police will be recording Sanusi's statement on Wednesday in Alor Setar regarding his claims of Kedah owning Penang.

The statement would be recorded in the Menteri Besar's Office, Wisma Darul Aman by Bukit Aman investigative officers.
