Wan Saiful and Noh Omar's daughter to contest in Selangor polls?

SHAH ALAM - Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and former Selangor BN chief Tan Sri Noh Omar are being considered as candidates on the Perikatan Nasional (PN) ticket for the upcoming Selangor election.

According to sources, Wan Saiful will contest at Sungai Ramal state seat under Bangi constituency which is currently held by Mazwan Johar from Amanah.

One of the source said Wan Saiful may often be seen on the ground, attending various events as well as chairing PN machinery coordination meeting in Bangi.

The source further claim that Wan Saiful had said he has received instructions from PN leaders to prioritise winning the state seat in Bangi.

For the record, Mazwan, who ran as a candidate under the PKR ticket won in the Sungai Ramal state seat during the 14th general election (GE14).

Mazwan won by a majority of 10,630 votes, defeating Pas candidate Nushi Mahfodz (with 13,961 votes) and Abdul Rahim Mohd Amin from BN (with 9,272 votes).

Meanwhile, sources have also revealed that Nurul Syazwani, the daughter of Noh Omar, is set to contest the Permatang seat, under the Tanjung Karang Parliament, in the upcoming state election.

Sources revealed that the decision to select Nurul Syazwani was based on her experience and contributions as the Tanjong Karang Bersatu Young Women leader. Additionally, Noh's influence and popularity among the locals also played a significant role in her selection as a candidate for the upcoming state election.

Other names that were previously said to contest on the PN ticket in the upcoming Selangor election were Noh, former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin, former federal territories minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin and former Umno Youth vice leader Shahril Sufian Hamdan.

So far thet have denied the speculations.
