BALING - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is ready to win and govern the six states, including Selangor and Penang, after winning the next state election.

Kedah Menteri Besar and PN election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said this confidence was based on the increasing support for the green wave.

This is also driven by the disappointing performance of the Unity Government, thus leading to more supporters siding with PN.

"PN is still influenced by the wave from the 15th General Election (GE15), and I am certain it will increase because previously the people didn't know about the Unity Government's performance, but now people have seen it and it is very disappointing, so people will continue following the existing wave," he said.

He said this after handing over keys and land grants to 12 families who were affected by floods at Kampung Iboi in Keda Kampung Sadek, Kupang, here today.

Moreover, he sarcastically criticised the actions of a minister, likening him to 'riding' a cow and becoming a laughstock.

"There are some people who rode cows to become ministers; the people's problems haven't been solved, but they went to ride a cow, so of course the people would laugh at them. "If you become a leader or a minister, then don't behave like that, don't be a laughing stock. That is their performance," he said.

In a similar development, when asked about BN-PH seats that were still unresolved, Sanusi refused to comment further.

"They should solve their own marriage problems, I don't want to comment," he said.

Meanwhile, at the event, a total of 12 families whose houses and properties were destroyed due to debris flooding in Kampung Iboi in July last year received their respective new homes with land grants from Sanusi.

In the incident, which took place on July 4, 2022, a family of three, including a pregnant woman and a paralysed mother-in-law, died after their house was swept away by torrential water.
