'Azmin did not want to sign bond' - Rafizi

KOTA KINABALU – Not all MPs who left Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) have signed the bond binding them to the party.

Its deputy president Rafizi Ramli said some of them, including former Gombak MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, had refused to sign the bond.

"I have yet to check with the party's secretary-general (Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail), but from what I recall, some had signed the bond and some did not want to.

"Because at that time, as far as I can remember, the group led by Azmin including himself did not want to sign the bond. So, I am not sure how many of the 10 had signed it," he said yesterday.

He said this when asked about whether the recent High Court ruling allowed legal action to be taken against the 10 MPs who have not signed the bond.

Rafizi said he left it to PKR lawyer William Leong to later give his views to the party on the next course of action.

On June 23, the Kuala Lumpur High Court ordered former PKR vice-president Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin to pay RM10 million for breaching the bond binding her to the party.
