Remove 'Allah's enemy' term from democratic politics involving Muslims, says Khairuddin

SHAH ALAM - Terms such as "Allah's enemy," "enemies of religious struggles," and labeling individuals from different parties should be removed from democratic politics, particularly when it involves Muslims, said former Pas member.

Umno Ulama Council executive secretary Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said parties campaigning for the upcoming elections should do it in a harmonious manner, using gentle and prudent preaching to effectively showcase the advantages of each party.

"I welcome immediate action by authorities in dealing with such issues, including those using the term Allah’s enemy as a reminder,” he said in a Facebook post, today.

This come after Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that the police have opened investigation papers on former Kedah Pas Hall deputy chief Syeikh Muhd Zainul Asri Mohd Romli who used the term "Allah’s enemy" in a programme in Kedah recently.

Khairuddin said harmonising campaign methods and creating a conducive atmosphere during state elections would be beneficial to foster a sense of brotherhood between Muslims and Malaysians.
