Resignation accepted, no comments, says MIC president on Sivaraj quitting party

SHAH ALAM - MIC President Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran has acknowledged the resignation of former MIC vice-president Datuk C Sivaraj today.

"Resignation accepted," he said in a short note to Sinar Daily.

He further said that he has no comments or consideration regarding a non-member of the party.

"I have no comment or consideration regarding a non-member," he added.

On June 27, Sivaraj announced his immediate resignation from the party.

He said he took this step because he wanted to implement his duties as a Senator and Indian community leader without restrictions from the party leadership.

Sivaraj, 47, was appointed as a member of the MIC Central Working Committee after losing in the 2021 party elections but was stripped of the post on May 11 this year.
