"He doesn't only think about Malays but also Chinese and Indians as well, and even Iban and Kadazan," he expressed.

He promised, together with other ministers, that they would keep on supporting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"We promise that we will always be under this government under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim; this is our promise.

"We hope people in Selangor will deny them and continue to support us," he added.

Zahid also said he respected MCA and MIC’s decision not to field their candidates for the elections.

He was speaking at the Jelajah Perpaduan Madani and launch of the machinery for Selangor today in Bangi.

The major key dates for the polls in the six states - Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan - begins on July 29 for nomination day, Aug 8 for early voting and polling day on Aug 12.
