SHAH ALAM - Selangor Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) lodges a police report on Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's statement which allegedly insults the Sultan of Selangor.

Its chief Izuan Kasim said the statement made by Sanusi during his speech in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) talk was described as extreme and touched the 3R (religion, royalty and race) aspects.

"As informed, the prime minister made an announcement, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) had also announced that politicians should not touch the 3R aspects, but Sanusi had continued to do so.

"I think Sanusi is at an extreme state as he came to Selangor, gave a talk and proceeded to insult the Selangor Sultan.

"As a Selangorion, if you feel like you can't respect our ruler, please just stay in Kedah, don't come here every week," he said.

He said this after a report was lodged at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Section 9 on Thursday.

He said leaders like Sanusi must consider what should be offered to the public as the election approached instead of discussing the 3R issues.

Izuan added there was an estimate of around 35 police reports that would be lodged at the AMK branch level.

"I thought as we are facing the state elections, we would talk about policies, government policies or what to do if we become a part of the government.

"I think the police should investigate and summon Sanusi to be investigated.

"I'm representing the Selangor AMK to lodge a police report today and Insya-Allah more reports would be lodged from each AMK in 22 branches, not including the NGOs," he said.

The media previously reported Sanusi in a talk had allegedly insulted the Sultan of Selangor over the appointment of state Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

The PN Election director on Friday was reported as saying that he was confident his state would be the most developed if it was near Kuala Lumpur.

Sanusi claimed Selangor could not become Pakatan Harapan's (PH) model of the most successful state due to its wise governance.
