SHAH ALAM - The Pakatan Harapan (PH) Presidential Council meeting held at Seri Perdana Complex discussed the final preparations of the coalition to face the upcoming state elections in August.
This was confirmed by PH Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution when contacted at 11.10pm today.
"The new meeting has concluded, discussing the final preparations for state elections," he said.
He said the meeting which lasted for over two hours, was chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and attended by PH leaders.
Earlier, Sinar had reported that a meeting is being held at Seri Perdana Complex found that PH leaders arrived as early as 8pm.
Among them were DAP Chairman Lim Guan Eng, Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and PKR Deputy President Rafizi Ramli.
Also seen were Amanah Vice President Adly Zahari and Amanah Communications Director Khaled Abdul Samad.
The Election Commission (EC) has set August 12 as the polling day in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Terengganu, and Kelantan.
Additionally, the Kuala Terengganu Parliamentary By-election will be held simultaneously on that day.
The candidate nomination day is on July 29 and early voting will take place on August 8.
