"Whether she will be called in again depends on the investigation. This is a 3R case as it creates sentiments against the royal institution," he told Sinar Harian.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 505 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and the Sedition Act 1948.

Yesterday, Razarudin confirmed that there were 24 police reports lodged related to the case, and investigations were focused on the dissemination of the video featuring the Perak Sultan, which was edited to appear supportive of a political party.

In the video, a woman believed to be a Pas Muslimat leader from Melaka was seen attempting to highlight Sultan Nazrin's views on Pas.

The Sultan of Perak’s Office also lodged a police report on the video which has been circulated.

Dewan Negara Perak (Advisory Council to the Ruler) through a statement signed by Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, General (Rtd) Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin said it is believed that those who had quoted and shared the video of Sultan Nazrin's speech from 2013, did so to influence voters ahead of the state elections in six states which will be held on Aug 12.

The video contained a small part of Sultan Nazrin's speech made on Feb 19, 2013, at the'Ummah Unity, Hope, Reality and Challenge' forum organised by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.
