BALING - Contrary to the foreboding contention of its imminent doom touted by their political enemies, the Unity Government made up of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) is here to stay.

Prime Minsiter Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim assured Malaysians that his administration will not be toppled following the Aug 12 state polls, stressing that the current government will last until the next general election:

"Let them throw a hissy fit. They kept on dreaming in changing the government. Let them dream,” said Anwar at the Jelajah Perpaduan Madani hustings, here, last night.

The Tambun MP also thanked his deputy, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for ending the political limbo following the aftermath of the 15th General Election that resulted in hung parliament.

"Until now, Thailand is still in chaos. Why? Because there is no unity there. We, on the other hand, were united within four days.

"It’s all thanks to Zahid. Our hero. He is a brave man. Ever willing to make tough choices,” said the PKR president.

Talk of the Anwar-led administration’s impending end has been spoken by a number of Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders in their electoral campaign for the upcoming polls involving six states, namely; Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
