Shila, Ubai tie the knot in emotional wedding

SHAH ALAM - Newlyweds, singer Shila Amzah and social media influencer Muhammad Ubaidillah Mohd Zulkefli, could not hold back their emotions during their wedding photoshoot on the bridal dais, as they posed with a portrait of Ubaidillah's late mother, who passed away just six days ago.

Prior to the wedding, Ubaidillah or better known as Ubai shared that the ceremony proceeded as per his late mother's final wish, who wanted it to go ahead without any postponements, regardless of circumstances.

In a TikTok video, the couple, dressed in all white, was seen shedding tears while holding a photo of the late Rohani Jamal.

Rohani breathed her last on July 31 at the University Malaya Medical Centre due to ovarian cancer she had been battling since December, last year.

Shila officially became Ubaidillah's wife with one lafaz at 10.27am on Saturday.

The couple was married by the bride's father, Datuk Amir Hamzah Salleh, also known as ND Lala, witnessed by the Masjid Darul Ehsan Assistant Registrar of Marriages Mohamad Khairi Hussein.

During the ceremony held at The Boathouse Ampang, Shila received a dowry of RM20,000 and five trays of gifts.

Shila, in return, presented seven trays of gifts to Ubai, but the couple chose to keep the amount of the hantaran private.

The couple had their engagement ceremony on May 27.

Shila was previously married to Haris Idraki Elias in April 2018, but the marriage did not last and they divorced in February, last year.

From that marriage, Shila was blessed with a son, Seth Uwais, who is now four years old.
