Survey: Anwar tops preference as PM, Muhyiddin, Najib, Hadi follow

SHAH ALAM - Research firm Endeavour-MGC (EMGC) survey reveals 73 per cent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the prime minister.

Out of the 1,068 respondents surveyed in marginal constituencies in Selangor, 73 per cent gave their approval of Anwar's performance.

On the other hand, 26 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the Prime Minister's performance, while only one percent remained unsure.

Anwar Ibrahim emerged as the preferred choice to continue as Prime Minister with 52 per cent of respondents favouring him.

In the survey, 18 per cent of respondents selected Perikatan Nasional (PN) Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the most suitable candidate for the current Prime Minister's role.

Six percent of respondents supported former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to return to the position.

Another six per cent chose Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang as their preferred candidate to be the prime minister of the country while three per cent of the votes went to former Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
