KLANG - Caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari has directed the legal team of Pakatan Harapan (PH) to investigate the party's losses in four crucial state seats: Sungai Kandis, Taman Medan, Gombak Setia, and Dengkil.

"Three out of the four seats were lost by margins of less than 200 votes.

"In fact, we are only four seats away from achieving a two-thirds majority, and these four seats are separated by less than 600 votes," Amiruddin Shari said.

The legal team's investigation will address various concerns, including issues such as missing or unreturned ballots in the Sungai Kandis constituency.

For state seats with very narrow differences, like around 30 votes in Taman Medan and 58 in Gombak Setia, the legal team will delve into other pertinent questions.

Amiruddin believes that the outcome might have been different if the voter turnout had been higher.

He expressed that a slight increase, around 2-3 percent, along with early policy explanations, could have led to the attainment of the coveted two-thirds majority.

"It's not far from our target," he said during the Pakatan Harapan press conference held at Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel.
