Don't panic Umno - Dr Puad Zarkashi

SHAH ALAM - Umno, don't panic until you want to leave Anwar's government, urged Umno supreme council member.

Umno supreme council member Dr Puad Zarkashi said they have to focus on the people and county as the party's road is still winding ahead.

"Once again Umno faced a tough test as we only won 19 out of 108 seat contested. Umno is losing the support of the Malays.

"It’s not easy for Umno to find a new formula but Umno should not panic until they want to leave the Unity Government,” he said.

Puad urged Umno to focus on the people’s economic agenda and the national economy.

"Those who have lost and are 45 years old or older should not run again in the next election.

"Party position is not a free ticket to be a candidate,” he added.

Besides, he said the Umno minister must deliver and avoid Umno’s behaviour.

"The party needs a new narrative that reaches the voters,” he expressed.
